A friend gave me this quote yesterday on a yellow sticky note in pink pen. She had copied it down for me. A beautiful truth from a beautiful person whose life fits inside of these words. Thank you, Lori, for the reminder that our suffering can reap something in our lives that matters. Not only to us, but to those who move in our orbits and absorb the fallout that either destroys or rebuilds our own Promised Land. Its our choice, because I have seen and known that suffering often goes the other way. Suffering is the razor’s edge that divides us into two camps – the redeemed and the bitter.
This reminds me that I have never been a part of a meaningful legacy from those who have chosen to stay under the rubble.
